Man's body dumped by 'vigilante group' in Cubao
MANILA -- The body of a suspected victim of summary execution was found along Dioquino Street in 16th Avenue, Cubao, Quezon City at around 2 a.m. Friday.
The man's body bore several stab wounds while his neck bore strangulation marks.
His face was also covered with tape.
The man, who has yet to be identified, had several tattoos on his body.
Residents in the area said the face of the man did not look familiar.
According to the Scene Of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), a piece of paper with a message from a supposed "vigilante group" was used to cover the victim's face.
"Ang nakasulat, 'Akyat bahay ako huwag pamarisan - vigilante,'" said PO2 Jogene Hernandez of the Criminal Investigation and Detention Unit of the Quezon City Police District (CIDU-QCPD).
Authorities said eight names who are said to be in the target list of the supposed vigilante group were also written on the paper. -- Report from Jacque Manabat, ABS-CBN News
