ABS-CBN staff hurt in Mandaluyong robbery
MANILA, Philippines – An account executive of ABS-CBN and a companion were rushed to a hospital after they were shot by robbers along Florante St. Barangay Plainview, Mandaluyong early Saturday.
The injured victims were identified as 40-year-old Jade Gonzales, who is an account executive of ABS-CBN, and 33-year-old advertising manager Pedro Orpiano.
The victims told police that they asked a group of men onboard a tricycle for directions to a fastfood place in Mandaluyong.
They followed the tricycle around Mandaluyong, but the suspects allegedly led them to a dead end, where they were shot and robbed of their cash and cellphones.
