Yellow rainfall alert raised in Metro Manila
MANILA – The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday raised the yellow rainfall advisory over Metro Manila and nearby areas.
In its post in its official Twitter account at 10:59 a.m., PAGASA said the areas covered by the advisory include Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan and Zambales.
PAGASA said the moderate to heavy rainfall being experienced in these areas are expected to continue in the next three hours.
PAGASA warned of possible flooding in low-lying areas.
A rainfall amount of 7.5 to 15 millimeters is expected under yellow rainfall alert.
While typhoon “Odette” is now out of the Philippine area of responsibility, PAGASA said is still enhancing the southwest monsoon, which will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms in parts of Luzon.
PAGASA said the effects of the southwest monsoon will be felt in the country until Wednesday.
