Alert level 1 raised over Marikina River
MANILA – Alert level 1 was raised over Marikina River on Monday morning due to continuous rains.
The Marikina City government said as of 8:10 a.m., water level at the river was at 15.1 meters above sea level.
Under alert level 1, residents near the river are told to monitor the situation.
Alert level 2 will be raised if water level reaches 16 meters above sea level. This calls for "preparedness" from residents.
Alert level 3 will be raised once water level breaches the 17-meter mark. Residents are told to evacuate at this point.
