Militant group calls Abad 'bagman' of pork
MANILA – Militant group Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) trooped to the office of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) in General Solano St., San Miguel, Manila to condemn the release of Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) and Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) to lawmakers.
The group criticized Budget Secretary Butch Abad, calling him the “bagman” of the pork barrel funds.
KMU chair Elmer Labog said Abad shouldn’t have allocated the funds to lawmakers and instead used it for government projects.
The protesters tried to enter the gate of the DBM compound, but were blocked by security personnel. -- Report from Noel Alamar, dzMM
