QC cops kill three holdup men

Three suspected holdup men died in a gunfight with policemen in along Tandang Sora in Quezon City, before dawn Tuesday.
Superintendent Alex Sintin, Quezon City Police District intelligence and operations chief, said the three suspects were members of a robbery syndicate that has been victimizing business establishments around Metro Manila and some areas in Central Luzon.
Sintin said members of the intelligence and operations division were patrolling Barangay Culiat when they encountered the three suspects shortly before 4 a.m.
He said the suspects fired at policemen when accosted. After the encounter, the operatives discovered that the three had just robbed a SeaOil petrol station and Goodah restaurant along Tandang Sora Avenue.
