PDEA busts drug den right under Crame's nose

Four men were arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a raid in an alleged drug den near the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame on Thursday.

The drug den, an apartment unit three blocks from Camp Crame in Barangay Crame West in San Juan City, was raided after a surveillance video showed drug pushers openly selling the illegal drug shabu in the unit.

The drug den, PDEA personnel alleged, is the largest in the area.

Marlon Munez, one of the suspects arrested, admitted to their illegal activities in the apartment unit, saying they receive a P50 cut for every sachet sold.

PDEA officials said they aim to trace other pushers in the area, along with the suppliers and protectors of the drug den. With a report from Doland Castro, ABS-CBN News
