MANILA, Philippines - A 41-year-old Baptist church pastor was shot dead in Quezon City, Wednesday morning.

Police said Baptist church Pastor Joseph Saliba was driving his white Nissan Sentra when he was ambushed by a lone gunman along Banlat Road, Barangay Tandang Sora around 8:30 a.m..

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the neck and head.

Investigators said the pastor had just come out of the San Pedro Compound along Banlat Road and was on his way to Rizal province when he was ambushed.

The gunman escaped by commandeering a tricycle.
