Barangay councilor, son wanted for Tagaytay murders
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – A barangay councilor and his son are now the subject of a police manhunt operation after allegedly killing four family members in Tagaytay City Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
Senior Superintendent Alfred Corpuz, Cavite police director, identified the suspects as Semproso Terrible, a councilor in Barangay Calabuso in Tagaytay City, and his son Philip Terrible.
Police said the suspects shot and stabbed their neighbors Domingo Fajardo, 64; Magno Fajardo,71; Lamberto Fajardo, 62; and Alberto Parducho, 44. The murders took pl at around 4:45 pm
Corpuz said the Terribles first barged inside Parducho’s house at 4:45 p.m. and shot the victim. They then proceeded to the house of the Fajardos, around 100 meters away from Parducho’s house and successively shot the three victims with a caliber 45 pistol.
"After they ran out of bullets, the Terribles just stabbed their victims before escaping on a motorcycle," Superintendent Dexter Rellora, Tagaytay police chief, said.
Police recovered eight spent shells of the caliber 45 pistol from the crime scene. The motorcycle was recovered later in Calamba City in Laguna.
Probers said an old grudge between the two families could be the motive behind the killings.
