8 Muntinlupa cops sacked for lates, absences
MANILA, Philippines - Eight police officers from Muntinlupa City Police Department were sacked for tardiness and absenteeism.
The officers where immediately fired after National Capital Region Police Office chief Marcelo Garbo conducted an inspection in Muntinlupa. The police chief was irked to know that officers of the police station always come in late for work.
Garbo was also informed that some of the officers are always absent.
Among those sacked are Police Chief Inspector Michael David, administrative officer; Chief Inspector Conrado Bunye, logistics officer; Chief Inspector Danilo Quidip, police community relations officer; and Chief Inspector Romanita Bulanon, chief of Women's and Children's Desk.
Chief Inspector Senen Cuaresma, Chief Inspector Dick Mangabat, Chief Inspector Samuel Hilutin and SPO4 Chinangan were also among those who were removed from service.
According to Garbo, the 8 police officers will be sent to Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City to undergo re-training.
This recent dismissal of officers from the police force aims to teach and reinforce discipline among their ranks.
