P3-M lost in Taguig warehouse fire
MANILA -- An estimated P3 million worth of properties were lost after fire hit a warehouse in Veterans Compound, Western Bicutan in Taguig City on Friday evening.
According to witnesses, smoke was first seen coming out of the office of Vaduz Marketing Incorporated at 11:20 p.m.
"Kumislap yung kuryente pero umuusok na nun, tapos umapoy tapos tuloy-tuloy na," said security guard Quirino Gimol.
The fire razed the stocks at the company's warehouse which included candies, milk, diapers and canned goods.
Firefighters had a hard time putting out the blaze since vehicles blocked their way.
A delivery van was also gutted by the fire.
The blaze, which was declared under control at 2:10 a.m., has yet to be put out.
Clearing and mopping up operations are still ongoing, said Fire Chief Insp. Junito Maslang.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
