Air Phils cancels 20 flights, ferries planes

MANILA - Air Philippines is canceling a total of 20 flights on Saturday, October 31, and ferrying five of its fleet of Bombardier turboprop aircraft to Iloilo and Cebu Friday to avoid the strong winds of Typhoon Santi that is forecast to hit Metro Manila early tomorrow.

Air Philippines said it will operate the Saturday afternoon return flight from Busuanga (2P 034) and is mounting an extra flight from Iloilo (2P 990).
 
The canceled flights are those bound for, as well as the return flights from Busuanga (2P flights 031, 032 ,033), Calbayog, San Jose, Naga, Tuguegarao, Virac, Catarman and Surigao.
 
All flights to/from Cebu and the Davao-Zamboanga, vice versa, flights will be operated on schedule.
 
One aircraft that flew to Busuanga will remain overnight at its destination.
