Police units in Metro Manila have been placed on full alert in preparation for All Saints' Day.

Director Roberto Rosales, Metro Manila police chief, said a total of 13,000 policemen will be deployed in transportation hubs and key strategic areas starting Friday.

Rosales said that police units in the metro have been placed from heightened alert to full alert status at noon Friday.

Meanwhile, the national police leadership has placed other regional offices nationwide on heightened alert status.

The Philippine National Police has also reactivated a special task force to ensure the security plan for All Saints’ Day is properly implemented.
