Elderly siblings killed in Marikina fire
MANILA -- Two elderly men were killed after fire hit their house along Russet Street in SSS Village, Barangay Concepcion 2, Marikina City before dawn on Saturday.
The victims were identified as 74-year-old Fernando Pantig, a former policeman, and his sibling, 64-year-old Boy Pantig.
Investigation showed that the fire started at around 2 a.m. at the back portion of the house.
The blaze reached the second alarm before it was declared out at 3:34 a.m.

Only the two elderly siblings live in the house.
Fernando's child lives in Australia while their other relatives are in Laguna.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the blaze.
