Fewer people visit Manila North, South cemeteries on Nov. 2
MANILA -- Thousands trooped to Metro Manila's biggest cemeteries to visit their departed loved ones on All Souls’ Day.
But the number of visitors dwindled, compared to the past few days.
Around 10,000 people went to the Manila North Cemetery on Saturday, far from Friday’s police’s estimate of 1.5 million.
Authorities said, crowds swelled to 2,500 at the Manila South Cemetery, lower than Friday's 95,000.
Meanwhile, police responded to a scuffle between two parking boys near the Manila South Cemetery gate.
The two traded punches after arguing over the parking fee they collect from motorists headed to the cemetery.
Police have decided not to press charges against them and asked them to go home instead. -- ANC
