MANILA - A technical consultant was found dead inside the Department of the Interior and Local Government office in Quezon City Monday morning.

Police said Simeon Obido, technical consultant of DILG Assistant Secretary Edgardo Abenina, was found dead inside the DILG comfort room at 6 a.m.

Police Officer 3 Antonio Torrente of the Kamuning police station said Obido was a stay-in staff of the DILG since he lived in Tayabas, Quezon.

"According to his colleagues, he had an illness and was always going to the doctor. He might have hit his head and died," Torrente said in an ABS-CBN interview.

Scene of the Crime operatives said they found Obido oozing blood from a wound on his nape.

Police said they are investigating if there was foul play in the incident.
