MANILA - President Arroyo on Tuesday named Atty. Oscar Inocentes as the new chairman of the Metro Manila Development Authority, replacing Bayani Fernando who resigned last Friday.
Press Secretary Cerge Remonde said he had been authorized to make this announcement but skipped announcing the other new appointees to positions that will be vacated by Cabinet secretaries who are running for elective posts.
In September 2007, the President appointed Inocentes presidential adviser for Judicial Affairs, under the Office of the President. He has also served as a trustee of the Government Service Insurance System.
