MANILA, Philippines – A woman was stabbed dead allegedly by her former boyfriend in Caloocan City on Thursday.

Jennifer Jerodiaz, 18, was found dead inside their house by her aunt, Ellen Gamboa. Her body bore 15 stab wounds.

Gamboa said she last saw Jerodiaz alive at around 5:30 p.m. before she discovered her niece's body past 6 p.m.

Jerodiaz’s former boyfriend, identified as Jason “Yongyong” Bonza, was tagged as the suspect in the killing.

Witnesses said they saw Bonza washing his bloody hands at a faucet near the victim’s house.

Police went to Bonza’s relatives’ houses in Bahay Toro in Quezon City and Kalawit in Caloocan but were not able to capture the suspect.

Eileen Bonza, Jason’s sister, appealed to her brother to surrender to police.

“Sumuko ka na. Gugustuhin ko pang makita ka sa kulungan kesa mamatay ka,” Eileen said, crying.

The victim’s relatives suspect Jerodiaz’s decision to break up with Bonza led to the killing. – Report from Raffy Santos, ABS-CBN News
