MANILA, Philippines – A man was killed after he was hit by a Philippine National Railways (PNR) commuter train in Beata, Pandacan in Manila on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as 21-year-old security guard Michael Antonio Gabina.
Initial investigations said Gabina attempted to cross the railway to buy food.
He reportedly stopped because he saw a train coming from the southbound.
Gabina, however, did not know that another train from the northbound rail is also approaching. – from a report by Noel Alamar, dzMM
