MANILA, Philippines – A woman was found dead inside the compartment of her own car in North Caloocan on Wednesday.

Residents said they noticed the Honda Civic car parked around their neigborhood since Tuesday morning but they did not touch it since they do not know the car’s owner.

The residents noticed the foul smell coming from the car around Wednesday afternoon, prompting them to report it to the police.

The victim was identified as Marilou Jorge.

Authorities said the victim was unrecognizable and it was her husband Jorge Jose Jorge who identified her.

The victim bore bruises in the head and face.

Police have yet to determine the motive behind the incident. They said it is also possible that the crime was carried out not just by one person.

Authorities declined to give further information about the matter as investigations are currently underway. – from a report by Jacque Manabat, ABS-CBN News
