MANILA - Police have arrested a former actress for allegedly peddling shabu in Mandaluyong City, a radio dzMM report said Friday.

Senior Inspector Hubert Pascual of the city police's anti-illegal drug task force said 46-year-old Aurora Sevilla was caught in the act of selling shabu to a certain Rodney Chudian along Kalentong Street.

Pascual said they have been monitoring Sevilla's movements for several days before the arrest.

He said the former actress was selling five grams of shabu to Chudian. Two more grams of shabu were also discovered from the Sevilla's pockets, the police officer added.

The former actress and Chudian have been brought to the Mandaluyong City Police Station. Charges are being readied against them. -- Report from Ricky Velasco, radio dzMM
