LRT's last trips on Christmas Eve (December 24) will be at 8 p.m. for the Baclaran, Roosevelt and Santolan stations, and 8:30 p.m. for the Recto station. On the other hand, MRT's last trips will depart at 8:30 p.m. from the North Avenue station and 9 p.m. from the Taft Avenue station.

On New Year's Eve (December 31), the last train departure time will be 7 p.m. for LRT Baclaran, Roosevelt and Santolan stations, 7:30 p.m. for LRT Recto station, 8:30 p.m. for MRT North Avenue station, and 9 p.m. for MRT Taft Avenue station.

The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said it would activate its "Oplan Ligtas sa Krismas" drive to ensure the public's safe and convenient travels during the holidays.

LRTA Administrator Rafael Rodriguez said all LRTA personnel have been instructed to strictly implement the "no inspection, no entry" policy. He said wrapped gift items would also be inspected.

"We need to ensure the safety and security of the passengers that's why we require the passengers to open their wrapped gifts for inspection," he said.
