MANILA, Philippines - Tragedy struck 1 day after Christmas in a residence at a posh village in Mandaluyong City Saturday night.

Two people died after being trapped in their burning two-storey home along Buffalo Street in East Greenhills.

The victims were identified as Concepcion Guho, 60, and her 30-year-old daughter, Katrina Guho.

The blaze began reportedly at past 9 p.m. It reached the 3rd alarm and was put out at 11 p.m.

Authorities estimated the damage to be worth P3 million. – With a report from radio dzMM
