'Auring' exits PAR, storm signals lowered
MANILA, Philippines -- Tropical storm "Auring" has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday afternoon.
In its 5 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said Auring was last spotted 460 kilometers southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
It was packing maximum winds of 75 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 90 kph.
PAGASA said Auring was moving west at 20 kph.
It was expected to be 630 kms southwest of Puerto Princesa City Saturday morning.
All public storm warning signals have been lowered.
Auring, the first tropical cyclone to enter PAR this year, made landfall in the southern tip of Palawan Friday morning and triggered flooding in some parts of northern Mindanao.
