A Cebu Pacific ATR aircraft is currently grounded in Caticlan airport due to runway closure, an official said Sunday.

In a text message, Cebu Pacific communications manager RG Orense said that the airline will try to accommodate passengers affected by flights scheduled to use the grounded ATR aircraft.

In the meantime, Orense said that some flights to and from Caticlan will continue to operate from Kalibo airport.

"The airline thanks its passengers for their understanding," Orense said.
