MANILA -- A ship ran aground off Brgy. Poblacion in Malita, Davao del Sur on Sunday.
According to the information sent to the Philippine Coast Guard in Manila, the crew of LCT Carlo have already dropped its anchor when it was swept away by strong winds and big waves caused by bad weather prevailing in the region.
The ship, which was carrying construction supplies, came from Sta. Ana, Davao City.
The 11 crew members on board are all safe and are just waiting for rescuers to help remove the ship from its position. -- with a report from Ricky Velasco, dzMM
