MANILA, Philippines – An employee of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was shot dead by unidentified men in Zamboanga City on Friday afternoon.

Richard David, 37, an engineer of the DPWH Regional Office IX, sustained four gunshot wounds to the body.

Police said David was driving his white Mercedez Benz on his way home when 4 motorcycle-riding men opened fire at him.

The victim was declared dead on arrival at a hospital.
