MANILA – A low-pressure area (LPA) was spotted by weather bureau PAGASA southeast of Mindanao.
The LPA is still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but it is expected to bring more rains to Visayas and Mindanao.
As of 4 p.m. on Friday, the LPA was spotted 840 kilometers southeast of Mindanao.
The weather disturbance is unlikely to develop into a storm, but PAGASA is continuously monitoring its status.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said the Luzon will also experience light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
