Judge Ibrahim in an interview a day after his house was strafed by gunmen

The house of a Regional Trial Court judge in Cotabato City was strafed by unidentified gunmen onboard a motorcycle Saturday evening.

The strafing incident happened at the house of RTC Branch 13 Presiding Judge Bansawan Ibrahim at Jasmin Street in Barangay Rosary Heights 6 almost midnight .

Two unidentified person on board a single motorcycle were reported to have simultaneously fired at the house of Ibrahim. A window was hit and damaged.

Police said they recovered 21 pieces of empty shells from a M16 Armalite rifle along the road in front of Ibrahim's house.

The empty shells were taken to Scene-of-the-Crime Office for ballistic tests.

Ibrahim, in an interview with ABS-CBN news team, admitted admits he is facing a blank wall on the motive of the strafing.

He said he has not received any death threat. He said he does not know of an enemy and has not handled any sensitive case.

Ibrahim said he suspects it was just harassment.

Police said the motive for the incident could be work related.

No one was hurt in the incident.
