Three bodies of suspected victims of summary executions or “salvaging” were found on two successive days in Batangas province.
A naked male cadaver was found lying face up along the national highway of Sinisian town in Calaca town in Batangas province Sunday morning.
Calaca police said that body was found with multiple stab wounds in the abdomen and at the right portion of the chest. Both hands were also found tied at the back using an electrical cord and the face was covered with brown packaging tape.
On Monday, two more bodies were found lying at the seashore of Talisay, the neighboring town. The identities of both bodies were also unknown.
Superintendent Gregorio de Guzman, Scene-of-the-Crime Office chief of the Provincial Crime Lab, said suspects all three victims are members of a syndicate. He said each of them had a dragon tattoo at the upper back portion of their body. The manner as to how each of them were killed was also identical - all were found naked, hands were hogtied and faces covered with packaging tape, he said.
Authorities believe the victims are not local residents and their bodies were just dumped in the area. Police said they remain clueless on the motive of the killings. Operations were ongoing as no suspect on the two incidents has yet been identified.
