MANILA, Philippines – A 22-year-old man was found dead inside a motel room in Angeles City, Pampanga Friday morning, police said.

Initial investigations by police showed that the victim, identified as Jose Lamis, Jr., was stabbed with a broken bottle by his male companion.

The suspect, 17-year-old “Bryan” (not his real name), told police that Lamis attempted to have sexual intercourse with him inside the room.

When he refused, Lamis allegedly hit him in the head with a bottle.

Bryan then grabbed the bottle and used it to stab Lamis, police said.

Bryan said he met the victim in a bar in Pampanga. Lamis is a resident of Barangay Balibago in Angeles City.
