PDEA seizes P1.75M worth of marijuana in Baguio

Anti-narcotics agents seized P1.75 million worth of marijuana hidden among vegetables inside a delivery truck in Baguio City, Wednesday morning.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said its operatives seized 42 bricks of marijuana from a truck driven by Martin Madino at the boundary of Barangay Lamtang, La Trinidad town and Barangay Irisan in Baguio City around 9 a.m.

The PDEA said the marijuana bricks were hidden under different vegetables inside Madino's truck. It said the truck came from Bakun town, Benguet province and was bound for La Union.

The agency said the marijuana bricks weighs at least 80 kilograms and has a street value of P1.75 million.

The PDEA said charges for transportation of illegal drugs will be filed against Madino and his companion Domingo Tungali. With a report from ABS-CBN Baguio
