Laguna dad’s son, 4 others arrested for selling drugs
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Five people including the son of a Laguna board member were arrested by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency(PDEA) in a buy-bust operation in Sta Rosa, Laguna Tuesday evening.
Chief Inspector Chris Abrajano, PDEA Region 4-A director, identified the suspects as James Abad, Elma Almarez, Jennies Almarez, Apolinar Quibin and Donato Carillo.
Donato is the son of Laguna 1st District Board member Ramon Carillo.
The PDEA said the 4 were arrested for selling about 24 grams of suspected shabu to a PDEA agent in JV Village, Barangay Tagapo, Sta Rosa, Laguna.
Abrajano said the group is responsible for the proliferation of drugs in Biñan, Sta Rosa, Calamba and San Pedro in Laguna.
The suspects were detained at the PDEA detention cell in this camp for appropriate filing of charges.
