2 nabbed in Iloilo drug buy-bust operation
MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) nabbed two persons in a buy-bust operation on a private residence doubling as drug den in Jaro, Iloilo this week.
PDEA Director-General Undersecretary Jose Gutierrez Jr. identified those captured as Jomarie Obregon alias "Loncio", 42; and Edwin Jaspe, a 39-year-old vendor.
The suspects were arrested in Obregon's residence in Barangay San Isidro, Tabuc Suba, Jaro last Feb. 6.
Gutierrez said Obregon sold one plastic sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer, and search of his house yielded one big plastic pack and five more sachets of the illegal drug.
Jaspe, who was in Obregon's house when the operation was conducted, was also arrested.
The two, now detained at the PDEA Regional Office 6, are facing charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
