MANILA -- Several towns in Zambales will experience a 10-hour power outage on Wednesday, according to National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) Central Luzon.
Ernest Lorenzo Vidal of the NGCP Public Affairs Office said clients of Zambales Electric Cooperative 1 (Zimeco 1) will be affected by the power interruption on February 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The towns of Iba, Candelaria, and Brgy. Salaza in Palauig, Zambales will be affected by the power outage.
Zimeco 1 will perform its annual preventive maintenance of the 50-megavolt ampere transformer in its Botolan substation. The cooperative will also replace old posts, damaged cross arms and insulators in the Botolan-Candelaria 69-kilovolt line.
Affected residents are advised to prepare for the schedule 10-hour power interruption. -- report from Alex Calda, dzMM
