Magnitude 4.8 quake jolts Negros

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck Negros Oriental Tuesday evening, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs said the earthquake hit 17 kilometers southeast of Tayasan at 11:39 p.m.
No casualties or damages were reported.
Last week, a 6.9-magnitude quake also hit the province of Negros Oriental, leaving at least 40 people dead.
More than 1,500 aftershocks have been recorded after the magnitude 6.9 quake.
