Magnitude 3.1 quake hits Rizal

MANILA, Philippines -- A magnitude 3.1 earthquake shook Rizal, Laguna Tuesday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The quake took place at 2:43 p.m.
PHIVOLCS located the epicenter of the earthquake at 1 kilometer northwest of Rizal.
It was felt at Intensity 2 in Los Baños, Laguna; San Pablo City, Lipa City; and Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin. It had a depth of 13 kilometers.
No damages were reported. No aftershocks are also expected.
