BAGUIO – The Panagbenga Festival kicked off in Baguio with a Cordillera-inspired street dance parade.
Session Road was momentarily transformed into a dance stage as 18 schools and local government units competed in the street dance parade and showcased the rich and colorful culture of the cordilleras.
Their presentations were inspired by Cordilleran customs, rituals and folktales.
As early as 4 a.m. on Saturday, spectators flocked Session Road to witness one of the highlights of Panagbenga.
Almost 2 million tourists are expected to join this year's Panagbenga celebration.
On Sunday, Session Road will be transformed into a carpet of flowers for the grand float parade. -- ANC
