Fire hits Davao commercial area; 1 dead

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) – A woman was found dead in a fire that hit a commercial area in Tionko Avenue, Davao City Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
The body of 40-year-old Judith Sabada was recovered by around 7:30 p.m.
The fire, which lasted for almost 2 hours, started at around 3 p.m. in one of the stores due to an electrical shortage.
A total of 5 homes and 20 establishments were razed in the level 3 fire.
