COTABATO CITY, Philippines -- Seven people were killed and at least seven others were injured after three vehicles collided along a highway in Pikit town, Cotabato on Friday afternoon.

According to the 7th Infantry Battalion, a van which came from Cotabato and was bound for Kidapawan City was traversing along a highway in Barangay Takipan when it suddenly hit a jeepney and a military truck past 1 p.m.

The fatalities have yet to be identified.

Meanwhile, the injured victims, who were all passengers of the van, were rushed to various hospitals in the province.

Police was still investigating the incident, as of posting.
