MANILA – Former ABS-CBN reporter Marisol “Sol” Aragones denied on Friday that she had been shot in Alaminos, Laguna.
Aragones, who is running for congresswoman of the 3rd district of Laguna, said false reports circulated in her province that she was gunned down.
“Maraming tao ang nag-panic, akala nila totoo,” Aragones said in a text message sent to dzMM’s Alvin Elchico.
Aragones said no such incident happened and assured the public that she is safe.
“I’m safe and thank you sa concern nila,” she said.
The 34-year-old Aragones resigned from her TV and radio shows to pursue a career in politics. She is running under the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).
