Cops in Facebook nude photo scandal dismissed
MANILA, Philippines - Three trainee cops have been dismissed for their alleged involvement in a nude photo scandal that spread online.
The 3 admitted that they posted naked pictures of themselves on social networking site Facebook while undergoing police training in Bacolod City.
Following the incident, Region VI Philippine National Police (PNP) director Cipriano Querol said they will implement stricter rules on how policemen can use social networking sites.
This, he said, is to prevent incidents that could further harm the image of the PNP.
Just recently, a beauty queen hopeful was removed from the official list of candidates of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant over a nude photo scandal.
A nude photo of a woman who looks like Roxanne Cabanero has been circulating on the Internet, and has been a hot topic in several online fora and blogs.
Because of pressure, Cabanero was left with no choice but to leave the pageant. -- Report from ANC
