Anti-narcotics agents has arrested an alleged top level drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Talisay City in Cebu province, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Tuesday.

Jessie Tabanao, PDEA-Central Visayas spokesman, identified the suspect as Epifania Baguio, 40, the alleged level two drug pusher in the province.

Tabanao said Baguio was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by PDEA agents at her residence in Barangay Tangke. Also arrested was Baguio's alleged look-out Uldarico Pagalan.

Seized from the two were 21 packs of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.

Tabanao said Baguio was the main supplier of shabu in Barangay Tangke and other parts of Talisay City. He said the arrest was made after a three-week surveillance on the suspect.

Baguio, meanwhile, denied that she is a shabu supplier. "That's not mine, they just placed in there," she said in the Visayan dialect.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 have been filed against the suspects, who are now detained at the PDEA-Central Visayas office. -- report from Carmi Cavanlit, ABS-CBN Central Visayas
