BATANGAS - A lady television reporter and her sister lost an estimated P200,000 worth of valuables after unidentified men broke into their car, which was parked inside a church compound in Ibaan, Batangas Sunday afternoon.

Senior Superintendent Alberto Supapo, Batangas police director, said ABS-CBN TV-10 Batangas reporter Tina Ganzon and her sister Fides Ganzon, a bank executive, sought police assistance when they discovered that their vehicle’s window was shattered around 6 p.m.

Investigators said the Ganzon sisters parked their Toyota Vios inside the St James the Parish Church compound in Barangay Poblacion to attend the 5 p.m. Mass.

After hearing Mass, the two were surprised to see the broken window of their car at the parking lot and several items missing from the car. Among the stolen items were a Mac laptop, a black external hard drive, two cellphones, bags and wallets containing credit cards and IDs, and around P30,000 in cash.

Supapo ordered an immediate investigation on the matter.

The family of the victims has offered a P100,000 reward to whoever can provide information for the recovery of the stolen external drive.
