BATANGAS – Fourteen people were hurt when a passenger jeepney collided with an Asian Utility Vehicle (AUV) in Cuenca town Thursday afternoon.

Senior Inspector Norman Cas-Oy said the victims were immediately brought to the San Jose District Hospital and medical facilities in Lipa City for treatment.

The accident happened around 1:45 p.m. along the national highway in Barangay Uno.

Reports said jeepney driver Maximo Tenorio was cruising along the national highway when an Isuzu Sportivo driven by Rannie Gatchalian collided with his vehicle after overtaking from the opposite lane.

Police have yet to determine who was responsible in the road mishap.
