Grenade blast wounds 3 in Maguindanao
MANILA, Philippines - Two men riding tandem on a motorcycle threw a grenade in Shariff Aguak town in Maguindanao province Wednesday evening, injuring 3 people.
Wounded were Henrico Ampatuan, 8; Norhana Abdulrahman, 13; and Monera Camsa, 30. The three were immediately brought to Maguindanao Provincial Hospital after sustaining minor shrapnel wounds in the blast.
Initial reports said the attackers were targeting a certain Maimona Ampatuan, principal of the Maguindanao National high School in Barangay Labu Labu, Shariff Aguak.
Ampatuan was already receiving threats through text messages after refusing to give money to extortionists. Other teachers of the school also received threats, prompting them to ask for security from the Philippine National Police until the closing of classes.
Some residents tried to chase the suspects who then fired their guns to scare away their pursuers.

You really need to protect the innocent citizens in Maguindanao. The killings are not done there yet. These terrorist will continue to terrorize people in that remote province. Please send more troops to chase those who have nothing in their agenda but to extort and punish innocent civilians and farmers. Teachers and school educators need to be protected too because of their role on the upcoming election.
