P600K bounty raised vs ex-Palawan gov, brod
MANILA, Philippines – The government has raised a P600,000 reward money to anyone who can give information that would lead to the arrest of former Palawan Governor Joel Reyes and his brother, Coron Mayor Mario Reyes Jr.
Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jesse Robredo said the department has raised P300,000 each for Joel and Mario, suspects in the killing of broadcaster and environmentalist Gerry Ortega.
Roberdo said certain individuals helped in raising the bounty against the Reyes brothers, who went into hiding after a local court issued a warrant of arrest against them.
The Reyes brothers and another suspect, Valentin Lecias, remain at large.
Rodolfo Edrad, Jr., Armando Noel, Jr., Dennis Aranas, Arwin Arandia, former Palawan provincial administrator Romeo Serratubias, and Arturo Regalado are already under detention. – report from Robert Mano, dzMM
