Mild quakes hit Surigao, CamSur

MANILA, Philippines - Two mild quakes struck in Surigao del Norte and Camarines Sur, early Friday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The Phivolcs said a 4.9 magnitude quake struck around 12:47 a.m. at 45 kilometers south of Naga City in Camarines Sur.

The quake was felt at intensity 3 in Naga City.

It was also felt at intensity 2 in part of Metro Manila, including Pasay City and Muntinlupa; and Guinayangan in Quezon province.

A 4.1 magnitude quake, meanwhile, struck 95 kilometers off Surigao City in Surigao del Norte at 9:16 a.m.
 
The Phivolcs said Intensity 2 was felt in Loreto town on Dinagat Island.
