Police arrested a man for shoplifting and possession of marijuana in Mandurriao district, Iloilo City, Wednesday night.

Steven Joseph Amane, 22, of Jaro district was caught by hardware store security guard Santiago Distor Jr. while slipping into his bag a wrench, an electric tape and hook amounting to P200.

Responding policemen body-frisked Amane and recovered the stolen items and a pack of dried marijuana leaves, and two aluminum cigarette cases with marijuana residues.

Police said Amane admitted that he owned the marijuana and also admitted stealing the hardware items.
