Lightning kills farmer in Iloilo

Lightning killed a 44-year-old farmer in Dumangas town, Iloilo province Wednesday afternoon, an ABS-CBN Regional Network Group report said.
Police said Antonio Dimzon was walking in his field with a companion, identified as Neneng Palomar, when lightning struck and killed him around 4 p.m. Palomar was unhurt in the incident.
At least seven people have died in Iloilo province in the past month after being struck by lightning.
The latest fatality, 16-year-old John Mart Lastimoso of Barangay Damires, New Lucena, Iloilo, died three weeks ago. Lastimoso was tending to his cows when a lightning bolt struck and killed him.
